The Illinois Paralegal Association celebrated the season in festive style with its annual Holiday Social and Bake-Off, and the evening was truly a wonderful way to close out the year. With a great turnout, delicious desserts, festive cocktails and appetizers, beautiful rooftop views, and plenty of holiday cheer, the event was filled with fun, laughter, and meaningful connections.
Members and guests gathered for an evening of cocktails, appetizers, games, and networking in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooftop setting provided the perfect backdrop as friends and colleagues reconnected and new relationships were formed. Adding to the fun and festive spirit,
Brett Scuras of Reveal even made a special appearance dressed as Santa, much to the delight of attendees. The energy in the room reflected the strong sense of community that makes IPA events so special.
The
Holiday Bake-Off Competition was once again the highlight of the evening, featuring an impressive array of creative and delicious homemade desserts. After careful judging and lots of enthusiastic taste testing, the winners were announced to loud applause.
First Place was awarded to
Marisol Muneton for her stunning
chocoflan topped with glazed strawberries, which quickly became a crowd favorite. Second Place went to
Jennifer Dlugolecki for her festive and flavorful c
hocolate covered cherry mice, which were just as impressive visually as they were to taste. Third Place was awarded to
Melissa Jurik for her delightful
mini raspberry cheesecakes, a sweetholiday treat that many guests truly enjoyed.
While the competition added excitement, the true success of the evening was the opportunity for everyone to relax, socialize, and celebrate the season together. From sampling desserts and enjoying drinks to catching up with colleagues and meeting new members, the
Holiday Social provided a perfect mix of fun and professional connection.
The IPA extends sincere thanks to our generous sponsors who helped make this event possible. We are especially grateful to our host and event sponsor,
Reveal, for providing the beautiful rooftop venue and for sharing a demonstration of their services with our attendees. We also thank
Worldwide Litigation Services for sponsoring the Bake-Off Competition and awarding the cash prizes that added excitement to the evening. Their continued support of the IPA is truly appreciated.
Thank you as well to everyone who attended, competed, sampled desserts, and contributed to the success of this event. Your participation and enthusiasm are what continue to make IPA events so meaningful and enjoyable.
As we close out another successful year, the Illinois Paralegal Association wishes everyone a
happy holiday season, no matter what you celebrate, and a
healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year. We look forward to seeing you in 2026 for more educational programs, networking events, and opportunities to connect with colleagues across the state.
