IPA Holiday Party

Please join us for a holiday bake-off.  Do you bake the best holiday cookie, cake, pie?  Bring your favorite dessert and enter it for a chance to be crowned IPA’s “Best Baker.” Everyone will taste and vote!

We will also have a panel discussion on paralegals who own their own business, freelance, perform contract work, and/or work as virtual paralegals. Can you help the public complete legal forms? Can you even offer services directly to the public or can paralegals only offer services to attorneys? Gina Abbatemarco, Senior Litigation Counsel at the ARDC will be joining freelancer Laura Smith of Adaptive Legal Services and Tom Stephenson, to talk about how to start your own business and how to avoid unlicensed practice of law.
